For the purpose, 289 soldiers were classified as new recruits(¡®NR¡¯) and soldiers to be discharged after full service period(¡®SD¡¯), and stress-related growth, resilience and change in positive interpersonal relationship were analyzed. In result, SD showed higher scores than NR in all three areas above. In stress-related growth, SD exhibited higher consciousness than NR in rediscovery of the meaning of life, change in personal strengths and change in the meaning of interpersonal relationship. Resilience-wise, SD also showed higher recognition than NR in analytical power, problem-solving skills, endurance of negative emotions and sense of responsibility. And yet, in the case of sense of control, they were not significantly different. For change in positive interpersonal relationship, SD was higher than NR in satisfaction, communication, sensitivity and understanding.
